Lennon Stella is a Canadian actress turned singer who is gaining worldwide attention for her creative talents. With the combination of being in a creative family, working on a hit TV series, and having recently released her first album, Lennon is a serene force to be reckoned with. Lennon grew up in Claremont, Ontario where she was exposed to different creative interests, including her dad teaching her how to play the guitar at the age of 5-years-old. As she grew older, Lennon learned to play several other instruments. She then began performing with her sister Maisy. They would sing at different shows with their parents’ duo “The Stellas.” In 2009, the family moved to Tennessee to further pursue their music careers.

Lennon and Maisy uploaded an EP titled Lennon and Maisy (Live YouTube Sessions). The self-released EP had three tracks; one of which was a cover version of Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend.” The song was a digital success that helped balloon the two girls towards musical recognition. While living in Nashville, Lennon’s mom took her sister to audition for a TV show. However, after learning about Lennon, they ended up casting her in the show with her sister. On the TV show Nashville, Lennon played the character Maddie Conrad, the daughter to one of the main characters. Lennon recurred her role as Maddie throughout six seasons of the show. During the first season of Nashville, Lennon and Maisy released a cover of “Ho Hey” by The Lumineers. The track reached the Billboard charts and gained the artists more attention.

In 2014 the sisters released the songs “Love” and “That’s What’s Up” and both were heavily downloaded. The duos’ success in song covers shined even more when they released their version of “Boom Clap.” In 2015, the sisters published a children’s picture book called “In The Waves.” Their first original song with the same name also accompanied the illustrated book. Lennon and Maisy released one more cover in 2017 called “Up & Up” by Coldplay.

Three Two One

At the beginning of 2018, Lennon announced that she signed a solo deal with Columbia Records. She appeared on “Polaroid” with Jonas Blue and Liam Payne later in the year. On November 16, 2018, Lennon released her solo EP, Love, Me. The 5-track EP saw multiple appearances from several artists. The songs “Bad” and “Breakaway” were the two leading singles from the EP followed by “La Di Da” and “Feelings.” Love, Me also helped to create a new pop-focused sound for Lennon. During the summer of 2019, Lennon performed as the opening act for Anne-Marie’s tour. She also featured vocals on the song “Takeaway” with The Chainsmokers. The two hit it off so well after the collaboration that Lennon became the opener for The Chainsmokers’ tour. She later also collaborated with Meghan Trainor on the track “Workin On It.”

On April 24, 2020, Lennon released her debut studio album, Three. Two. One. The 13-tracks on the album reflect vulnerability and love. Maisy is the only artist to be featured on the album. This allows listeners to get to know Lennon more personally without other people taking away from her creative message. Focused mostly on lost or broken love, Three. Two. One. is posed to be an emotional wake-up call for many people. Lennon Stella is establishing her fame through her talent with a smooth voice and an electro-pop vibe that creates music that an audience has been dying to hear.
