Megan Thee Stallion: Hot Girls Unite

Megan Thee Stallion is one of the hottest female rappers on the scene right now. The unapologetic bravado of Megan has caused many to join her fan group of “hotties.” New to the music industry, Megan Thee Stallion is coming to put her spin on music and make a name for herself in the hip-hop community.

Megan Pete was born on February 15, 1995 in Houston, Texas. Her mother was a rapper named Holly-Wood. When possible, she would bring Megan to the studio with her. At 16-years-old Megan started writing songs, but once her mother found out, she emphasized to Megan to wait until she was an adult. From a young age, Megan’s lyrics were sexual and suggestive.

Megan went viral online while attending Prairie View A&M University after a video surfaced of her rapping a cipher. The video acted as a springboard for her to enter celebrity status. Since then, Megan has used social media as a way to garner more attention by posting freestyles online. A couple months later, Megan uploaded another clip, “Stalli Freestyle”. Shortly afterward she became known as ‘Megan Thee Stallion’ due to her height and beauty.

Hot Girl Summer

Rich Ratchet was the first mixtape released by the artist. “Like a Stallion” was the lead single from the project. Megan Thee Stallion released her EP, Make It Hot on September 18, 2017. “Last Week in H TX” attracted a lot of attention by fans. At the beginning of 2018, Megan Thee Stallion signed with indie label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. “Cocky AF” was the first single released in 2018. By December 21, she released Tina Snow. The 10-track EP was highly favored by fans and critics. In November, Megan announced she signed with 300 Entertainment. This made her the first female to sign to the label.

In 2019 the artist released her single “Big Ole Freak” and the song peaked at 65 on the Billboard Hot 100. On March 22, “Sex Talk” was released as a single. It became the lead single for her upcoming project. Fever was released on May 17, 2019 and featured 14-tracks with appearances from DaBaby and Juicy J. “Cash Shit” peaked at number 39 on Billboard Hot 100. Listeners can hear the unapologetic attitude and confidence of Megan Thee Stallion throughout the album. Megan Thee Stallion brought a new movement to the world on August 9, 2019 when she released the single “Hot Girl Summer” featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla Sign. The song became the first single for all of the artists involved to reach the top of the Rolling Stone 100.

Known for her cockiness, sensuality, and raw lyrics, Megan Thee Stallion has created a name for herself in rap. In the two years that she has been in the music industry, she has given power to a “no-f*cks-given” attitude that people have come to love. While the rapper talks about sex, love, and confidence, her music is mostly geared around the male-female power dynamic. The fabulous hip-hop artist is steadily putting out hits to keep the streets hot and the girls hotter.
