Tate McRae is a Canadian dancer turned pop singer that is making a name for herself through emotional pop songs. Tate first gained the interests of people with her shining personality and dancing. After releasing a video of her singing an original song, Tate changed creative lanes and began focusing on her musical craft. Tate McRae was born on July 1, 2003 in Culgary, Canada. Tate’s mother was a dancer and shared that love with her. She began taking ballet classes when she was 6-years-old. By the time she was 10-years-old, Tate started achieving awards for her dancing abilities. Tate started a YouTube channel in 2011 and uploaded videos of herself dancing. The videos helped her to gain a crowd of people interested in her work.
In 2014 and 2015, she began taking on greater platforms to showcase her ability. Famous dance manufacturer Capezio made Tate a brand ambassador. The social media platform TikTok generated thousands of views that further propelled the song into larger music streaming platforms. Tate released “Vicious” featuring rapper Lil Mosey in June. The song reflects on someone who is empowered by the decisions that they’ve made with their ex. August saw the release of Tate’s next single, “Don’t Be Sad.” Fans first heard the song on a new YouTube video upload. The three singles are from Tate’s upcoming EP.
