Social House is a duo that primarily creates pop-based tracks with hip-hop and R&B undertones. They caught the spotlight after being the producers behind popular tracks from Ariana Grande’s recent album ‘Thank U, Next’. The group is composed of two members, Michael Foster and Charles Anderson. Known as Mikey and Scootie respectively, the two met in 2015 while working at the same studio producing songs for other artists. Friends and co-workers encouraged the two to join forces on projects. This band’s name is based on memories associated with VHS movies. During one of the camping trips the guys had, they were having a jam session and someone noticed a collection of VHS tapes. The name stuck afterward. VHS Collection secured several gigs and grew their fan base from there. By 2015, VHS Collection was performing at events throughout New York City. Majid Jordan gained the attention of the masses when they were credited with co-producing Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home”. On July 17, 2014, the duo released the EP ‘A Place Like This’’. The five-track EP had three lead singles, “A Place Like This,” “Her,” and “Forever”. The duo spent the next year working on their next project. At the end of 2015, their first single “My Love” featuring Drake was released. On February 5, 2016 the duo released their debut studio album, ‘Majid Jordan’. Volbeat are from Denmark and – at least according to conventional wisdom – categorized as a Heavy Metal band (the “Vol” part of the band’s name is even short for “volume”). This may frighten off some U.S. listeners who might assume the band to be part of the Scandinavian Death Metal movement (which fans of even, say, Metallica, could conceivably find too extreme). However, an objective listen reveals Volbeat to be in actuality a terrifically rounded, solid, and straightforward rock and roll band (with Metal being only a single ingredient of their sound).
